Texas Hold 'Em Poker and Social Club
Hey all, and
welcome to our first season of Texas Hold 'em tournaments, cash games and
social events. This season we will be trying something new in the form of
playing organized tournaments as well as organized cash games with paid
dealers. At our poker games food and drink will be served and available. We
will also be moving out of people’s homes and the comfort zones of them and
into private recreational halls, community rooms as well as banquet rooms at
hotels. We will be getting out into the community! Occasionally we will resort
to our old home game way's entertaining at a members private residence with an
occasional barbeque and a house bar but this season we will be finding and
booking locations in the community where we can rent space and host our events
on a Friday or Saturday night or Sunday afternoon.
This year we will
have membership dues, club officials, rules, and a seasonal end of the season
Casino Poker night event with catered food and awards. We intend to accept
applications for club membership with a screening process before membership is
granted. Club officials will include the club President, Vice President, Secretary,
Treasurer, Writer/Blogger, and a Social Media/Digital Media/Website Design
person. Club officials will be nominated and elected during the first evening
of the season during the the early dinner between 4 pm and 6 pm.
The season
spring/summer season will kick off this Saturday May 26, 2018 with food being
served between 4 and 6 if you care to eat. Tournament starts at 6pm sharp and
will be approximately 2 hours or more. Cash game will start at 8pm and will be
in action until about 11pm. everything should be shut down and we should be in
our UBERS or carpooling home by 11:30pm and we should all be home by midnight.
